Was thinking this just the other day. We grew up in the 1980’s hearing about lines of people in the Soviet Union waiting to pay a week’s wages for a loaf of bread (whether that’s true or not, I don’t know. Could have just been U.S. propaganda). Wondered to myself if it might get that bad here eventually.
