The annual inflation rate in Croatia rose to 3.7% in June 2025, in line with preliminary estimates and up from 3.5% in the previous month.
This marked the highest reading since February, as inflation accelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (5.8% vs 5.7% in May), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.0% vs 1.8%), communication (2.3% vs 0.1%), and education (6.1% vs 5.3%).
At the same time, transport costs stabilized, after a 1.9% decline in May.
On the other hand, inflation moderated for housing and utilities (5.2% vs 5.6%), recreation and culture (5.2% vs 5.8%), and restaurants and hotels (8.5% vs 9.0%), while deflation persisted in clothing and footwear (-3.2% vs -1.7%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.2%, revised slightly down from the initial estimate, and following a 0.3% increase in May.
