Slovakia’s annual inflation rate increased to 4.3% in June 2025 from 4.1% in the previous month.
This marked the highest reading since December 2023 as prices grew for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.2% vs 3.9% in May), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (5.3% vs 4.9%), clothing and footwear (3.5% vs 3.4%), health (2.4% vs 2%), transport (2.6% vs 0.1%), and restaurants and hotels (9.5% vs 8.8%).
Meanwhile, costs moderated for housing and utilities (2.6% vs 2.8%), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (3% vs 3.5%), recreation and culture (4.9% vs 5%), education (10% vs 10.2%), and miscellaneous goods and services (6.2% vs 6.5%), while prices remained unchanged for communication (6.1%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices grew by 0.2% in June, easing from 0.5% in the preceding month.
