WEST PITTSTON, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Authorities are advising the public of traffic restrictions during Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Luzerne County on Wednesday.
The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) announced it will be assisting the United States Secret Service, Wyoming Area Regional Police Department and other agencies with security surrounding Vance’s visit to West Pittston.
Vance is scheduled to visit Don’s Machine Shop, located at 777 Ash Street, near Exeter Avenue (Route 92).
The White House announced last week that Vance will visit West Pittston to deliver remarks following the passage and signing of “the greatest legislation for American workers in history, President Donald J. Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill.”
According to PSP, the visit will include temporary delays and closures on roadways in the vicinity of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP), Route 11 and other local roadways in the Pittston area.
Motorists should expect delays, backups and congestion in and around the area throughout the day.
