The Albanian champion suffers badly in Iceland, Egnatia is eliminated from the Champions League

Albanian champion Egnatia suffered a heavy defeat on Tuesday evening in Iceland.
The team from Rrogozhina was defeated with a score of 5:0 by Breidablik, in the return match of the first qualifying round of the Champions League. Although Egnatia had won the first match 1:0, in the second match they had no chance to maintain the lead.
Within the first 30 minutes, the Icelanders scored three goals, while adding a fourth in the 38th minute. The fifth goal came in the 69th minute, sealing Egnatia’s elimination from this competition.
While Drita and Shkëndija advance to the second round of the Champions League, Egnatia is transferred to the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
