Hello! I want to rent an apartment in Praha for like a year. What is the best way to find it? I’ve written to a bunch of realtors I found on [sreality.cz](https://sreality.cz) but none of them answered me. I suspect that this is because I’m Ukrainian. I don’t want to get free housing or any other kind of govt help as I have money and there are people who need it more but I can’t even get to the stage where somebody contacts me which is kind of frustrating…

  1. Dude, go on AirBnB and ask those peeps. I did that with a 6 month rental for an apartment in Prague 2, until I got myself setup. Worth a try 👍🏻

  2. I’m a foreigner and I got my apartment through [expats.cz](expats.cz) I don’t know if this will help but I was successful. Good luck.

  3. I can’t say much about Prague but for Brno there are many facebook groups where people find places to rent. I suspect it will be the same for Prague as it’s even bigger than Brno.

  4. Maybe try some student accommodation of some school. They usually have some free rooms. And from what I heard from people who work in my school (not in Prague), the money they got from the government to accommodate immigrants are so low that it doesn’t even cover expenses for water and electricity. So I guess they will be happy to have there people who would be able to pay a full rent.

  5. Check sreality every morning, afternoon and evening. When you see interesting deal – call immediately. Good options are usually getting reserved before the person who gave the advert gets a chance to read their email.
