Reckon it’ll have an all ages night so his fans can attend?
Great for the music scene, even if he’s personally insufferable
This is probably a very good thing.
I’m not a fan of his music and think he’s quite annoying but by all accounts he seems to be a good guy who has a loud mouth but a big heart. Chances are this venue is likely to have a strong focus on inclusivity and supporting independent artists who would otherwise not have a platform.
He tries to spend as much time as he can with his fans, signing stuff, taking pictures, talking to them when they approach him etc. I’ve not heard a single bad story about him (which considering the scene he’s in can be considered an absolute miracle). He insists that his venues have gender neutral toilets and safe places for his audience who are invariably people who feel like outsider so I reckon if he’s going to be the owner of this venue, that will be a big part of it.
An excuse to have a look on Denmark Street on Street View and go back to 2008. I know a few music shops survive there, but it’s a shame what happened.
I run tours that focus heavily on Denmark street, anything that puts music back is a good thing for everyone. It should be a designated landmark.
Hopefully this is something more substatial then a popup or something but good luck.

TL;DR — 20 Denmark St, no other details
Will it be as tacky as he is?
