Luxair will start operating a twice-weekly flight to and from Edinburgh starting on 3 July 2026. The national airline announced the plans to fly to the Scottish capital on Wednesday, after previously revealing a list of five new destinations for next summer.

The Edinburgh flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays from Findel, with flights leaving Findel at 12:20 and landing in Scotland at 13:10 local time.  The return flight leaves Edinburgh at 15:10 and lands back in Luxembourg at 18:00. Tickets are already available and can cost as little as €45.

The summer tickets are already selling fast as they coincide with the start of the Edinburg festival.

The airline is also adding Helsinki to its list of destinations. As of 2 July, flights will depart Luxembourg on Mondays and Thursdays. The Monday flight departs at 6:00 and lands in Finland at 9:30. The return leaves Helsinki at 10:20 and is scheduled to arrive in Findel at 11:55. Return flights are being advertised as starting from €159.

Two destinations in Spain are also being relaunched next summer in the shape of Girona on the Costa Brava and Bilbao, the capital of the Basque Country.

The news comes just a week after the airline had unveiled plans to start services to Zakynthos and Araxos in Greece, the Portuguese island of Porto Santo, Tunis and Alicante in Spain.
