While Russia’s war turned Ukraine into an object of international peace efforts, many forget that Kyiv had been a contributor to global peace for over three decades.
Every year on 15 July — the day Ukrainian peacekeepers departed for their first mission in Bosnia — Ukraine marks the Day of Ukrainian Peacekeepers.
Today we look back at some of the boldest missions that show Ukraine’s decades-long dedication to defending peace — long before Russia brought war to its door.

Since the full-scale invasion began, supporting our team and gathering donations has become more challenging as we, like everyone else in Ukraine, focus on fundraising for our defenders. Now, we turn to you—the international community and supporters of Ukraine—to help us continue producing vital stories that not only support Ukraine’s fight against invasion but also remind the world of the value of freedom.
Ukraine is an awesome country that will win the war
🇺🇦 !
I live in Moldova and fully support Ukraines independence and help out Ukranians locally when i have some spare money, nothing big cause i dont have lots. I would like to mention though that Ukraine assisted Transnistria in the war we had in the 90’s. Im stating this to prove that Ukraine had a rough time just like the rest of us post soviet states and im glad that now both Moldova and Ukraine are on the same side and trying to get rid of the shackles of the USSR. Hopefully one day Belarus does the same without violence or war. Thank you Ukraine for keeping us safe when it matters.
