In general most Japanese imports don’t have alarms and immobilisers (because car theft is almost non existent in Japan, and any car theft that occurs is sophisticated theft of high value cars like a Lexus). Easy enough to have them fitted externally, plus an anti theft wheel lock. My alarm flashes red so anyone knows there’s something in there and the wheel lock is obviously visible to anyone staring in the window. Haven’t had any issues with my Aqua thankfully. Obvious solution is to get the scrotes off the streets though

Someone attempted it break into my house once, and I got the entire thing on video. I went to the nearest garda station the very next day and shared the videos with them. Unfortunately, I had just set the video quality of my camera to minimum and disabled audio recording to save bandwidth, so it wasn’t super clear who it was, so they couldn’t find the person. You might have better luck.
Don’t let them get away with this.

Allows you record a very loud warning alarm or sound bite the minute they open the door…or one of those personal attack alarms. They’ll still try but can’t imagine they’d bother driving off with a loud alarm blaring on it

There was cctv footage uploaded into my neighbourhood Facebook group of a group of scrotes attempting to break into an Aqua at 7pm.
So there’s no scrotes in Japan at all? I just assumed every country had them. Anyone know how they achieved that?

So compared to the models sold here it is lacking features for security, which is why a hammer and screwdriver will do the job pretty easy.
Edit: It’s Japanese exclusive car so must have been imported then.
Anyone with an Toyota Aqua or a Vitz, get a big yellow steering lock as a visible deterrent, they’ll damage the car anyway to find out if it had an immobiliser retro fitted.
A buddy of mine had a few robberies. Got a dog after a while, doberman I believe. Well the fuckers only came and stole the dog a week after.
This boils my blood to watch.
The same thing happened to me about a year ago, we had a mazda demio (another japanese import) in the driveway. The difference was we had just moved into the house and didn’t have upstairs ready yet so we were sleeping in the front-room. About 1am I’m still awake and hear someone in in the driveway, look out the window and see 3 little scrotes trying to get in. First reaction was to run out and confront them, but got worried they could overpower me and then get into the house, so rang the Guards, explained what was happening LIVE to them over the phone and let them take it.
In fairness to the guards they had 6 cars out and the helicopter in the space of a few mins, and thankfully caught the fuckers. Car was fucked, but one of the fuckers got their nose broke when the airbags went off after they went over a curb.
2 of them were 14, and one was 19. All from Darndale, all they got were JLOs.
At this stage you might as well rig your car with explosives and make sure you record this for our pleasure.
I work at a vehicle repair centre. Trust me, sell your Toyota Aqua if you have one. Or any Japanese import for that matter. We get atleast 2 Aquas a week that need a new door and a new ignition barrel as they are stolen very often.
