A cheeky dig has been made at the rift between the Royal Family and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in a trailer for the new series of The Real Housewives of London. The trailer, which was released on July 15, shows cast member, Panthea Parker, proposing her bold plan to confront King Charles about his rift with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at a palace event.

Panthea is shown in a car with her husband, British lawyer Ed Parker, en route to what appears to be a Buckingham Palace garden party. Panthea said: “I’m going to go, ‘How do you feel about Harry and what he did?'”

Her husband quickly chimed in, and jokingly appeared to read from a pamphlet: “It says, specifically, ‘Do not ask the monarch about Harry and Meghan’.”

The timing of the suggested royal confrontation comes amid recent reconciliation efforts between Prince Harry and King Charles.

The Royal Family’s rift became public in 2020 after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their royal roles. Since stepping down from duties, Harry and Meghan released bombshell revelations about their time in the Firm in their Netflix docuseries and Harry’s memoir, Spare.

There are speculative signs of a reconciliation between Prince Harry and his father after senior aides from both sides held a meeting in London last week.

Meredith Maines, the Duke of Sussex’s new chief of staff and communications director, met Tobyn Andreae, King Charles’ communications secretary on July 9. Liam Maguire, who oversees the UK press for Harry and Meghan, was also in attendance.

The meeting was held on the balcony of the members-only Royal Over-Seas League club, overlooking Green Park, which is just a few minutes walk from Buckingham Palace. It comes as Prince Harry‘s team has denied leaking details of the meeting, as details of the private talks including the location, timing and nature of the meeting appeared in the Mail on Sunday after the participants were photographed on a club terrace.

The Real Housewives of London will launch on Monday, August 18, on streaming platform Hayu, where you can see the drama unfold.

Its 10-episode run will follow six wealthy London women: Juliet Angus, Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace, Juliet Mayhew, Panthea Parker and Nessie Welschinger.

Comedian Katherine Ryan, 41, will host the reunion special at the series’ conclusion. She said: “Hosting The Real Housewives of London reunion show is a dream opportunity for me.”
