On the front lines, the number of attacks launched by the Russian army increased slightly yesterday, but in essence the situation has not changed compared to the previous day.
– On the Kursk/Sumy/Belgorod axis, the Russian army has been unable to restore the intensity of its attacks, and positional fighting continues in border areas of Sumy Oblast.
– On the Kharkiv axis, fighting continues in Vovchansk and one other location, but there have been no changes in the situation.
– On the Kupiansk axis, the Russian army has continued attacks with activity similar to the past few days. There have been no major changes along the front line. A very active offensive is ongoing on the Lyman axis, but Ukrainian forces are also managing to carry out counterattacks. On the Siversk axis, less intense positional fighting is taking place. The attackers have not managed to make significant advances.
– In the Bakhmut area, Russian unit activity around Chasiv Yar and Toretsk has not significantly increased. Isolated Russian army attacks were halted yesterday.
– Near Pokrovske, Russian command is attempting to increase the tempo of its offensive, as is the case on the southwest Donetsk axis. The Ukrainian army has carried out some counterattacks, but Russian forces have managed to develop their gains slightly in a few locations.
– On the southern front, Russian units were passive. In the area of the Dnipro River islands, more active but unsuccessful attack attempts continued.
How is the ukrainian army able to destroy such amounts of artillery? Even if they are basic mortars that amount is high, is everything else on the russian side gone so those are the only targets left?
