Hi guys, I live in Finland but I'm currently in Bosnia and Herzegovina and I got this souvenir. I really like it but I'm afraid it won't go through security at the airport since I only travel with a backpack. Mi question now is, does anyone know if I can send this from Bosnia to Finland? Am I gonna get in trouble in Finland?
Thanks in advance 🙏

  1. Someone I sat next to on a plane had gotten a bullet souvenir from Finland and they confiscated it at airport security

  2. Mail could potentially work. But easiest/safest would be checked luggage, IMO, since I’m not quite sure how mail carriers would react seeing a bullet shaped object in an envelope.

Airport security should prohibit that from you

  3. Send it by mail. Airport security will take it off you. Customs might open the package, but you would get it after inspection.

  4. What caliber is that? I have a 7.62×39 keychain bought during my military service and it’s way smaller.

  5. Send by mail. Do not bring to airport even in checked luggage

  6. Yes, post it. I once had a reel of garden wire and security made me had it checked in as baggage. To their credit, the guy found the biggest box possible and covered it in Security Checked tape.

  7. Why would airport sec confiscate that? It’s completely inert, it doesn’t even have the spent primer souvenirs like that often have. It’s literally a brass tube with a copper blob at the end.

  8. Alright guys I just tried to post it through the main post company here in Sarajevo and as soon as the lady saw The bullet she said “noo noo noo terrorist”…. Anyways guys thanks for your help and answers 🙏

  9. I once fly with similar bullet from Beirut to Hki. That was weeks before 911, I would not try that again.

  10. Post it. If they ask, tell them it is a special dildo.

  11. When me and my company returned home after a peacekeeping mission we flew a chartered flight but had all the regular airport security you’d expect.

I had a folding knife in my checked luggage and the security personnel thought it was a pistol magazine on the x-ray and made me empty everything out to find it and prove it was just a knife. Put it back and it was fine.

When we got to Finland and got to Porpr to return our gear, one of the guys realizes he has a 40 mm grenade round at the bottom of his bag.

That live round went right past airport security, but my knife had the local officers salivating at the prospects of me having broken the rules.

So I mean, yes 95% sure it gets stopped. But stuff slips past.

  12. lol I have one on my shelf here in USA. It’s strange to see how much of a issue it is to ship since it can’t function
