  1. Has he ever seen a single interview with Nigel Farage on the BBC? He gets a much harder time than any other party leader

  2. Sad state of affairs that Ed Davey has to mention reform just to get coverage. He might be onto something though

Lets be real the only reason people are even reading the article is because they want to see someone criticise reform or they want to defend reform. No one is here to listen to Ed Davey

  3. The green party should get the same amount of coverage seeing as they have the same amount of MPs

  4. BBC: That’s completely unfair, we give him plenty of exposure!

  5. There is too much critique of the morality of his policies, which is a gift to him, and almost none of the implementation of his policies. I want to see Farage sweat as he gets asked for even an ounce of detail.

  6. 100% correct. They’ve let him waltz into studios and spout lie after lie after lie for more than a decade. He’s cause irreparable harm on the country and still they won’t learn.

He’s on LBC every other week with the sycophant Ferrari and it’s nauseating to listen to. He never does an interview with anyone who would actually call out his BS

  7. Shouldnt he be parasailing through Tower Bridge in Union Jack underpants or something?

  8. I’ve told this story before, but a few months ago I was idly watching BBC West Midlands News while the Reform conference was happening in Birmingham. They spent 90% of the report glazing Reform, comparing the conference to a ‘political rock concert’ and gushing over the production values of the speeches. They said basically nothing about Reform’s actual policies, or the significant protests outside the conference centre.

Then I thought back for a moment about the BBC’s reporting during the later Corbyn years, where basically every single report would have significant sections with comments from his critics.

It really is night and day. And yet we’re supposed to believe *the establishment* are *opposed* to Reform! The BBC are pretty bloody comfortable with them!

  9. The precedent has been set, say as little as possible until elected. Worked for the last few governments here and in the US

  10. It won’t make you more popular Ed. I know you’re upset seeing some targeted seats in the south flip to Reform, but sulking about the media not doing more to help you isn’t the answer.

Perhaps spend some time making some policies voters like, rather than aiming to be someone that benefits from tactical voting.

  11. The media does largely seem to give Reform belly rubs compared to their contemporaries given the stuff Reform comes out with.

Im no fan of her, but Dianne Abott had an interview on LBC years ago where she gave some incorrect figures. They were very off. This was a self admitted mistake but was enough to brand her a thicko forevermore.

Zia Yusuf representing Reform went on LBC recently, and quoted figures regarding savings that would be made by cutting DEI spending from the government. They were also very off, in fact more so than Abotts figures. And this wasn’t a mistake, this is party policy.

Yet Im not seeing the charactitures by the papers to label them as thick as a result like i saw with her. I never saw a BBC article about this miscalculation like I saw with Abott.

That’s the thing, their miscalculation is worse as they aren’t admitting it’s a mistake, let alone the miscalculation being bigger. Yet very little noise on it considering the magnitude and doubling down.

  12. Well said Ed, however why would the BBC expose him, they created farage. the bloke had a season ticket on question time, everyone knows that, and everytime he opens his mouth, MP or not, the media are all over him, like a rash.

  13. It has to be said. The BBC, question time in particular, but the Today program carries significant blame too, has amplified the right wing rhetoric spouted by Frottage and his ilk.

Its more of a propaganda machine than a public service broadcaster these days.

  14. I can’t believe a broadcaster with impartiality standards isn’t attacking my enemies for me, wah 🙁

  15. They should be treated like the AfD in Germany on media platforms.

  16. Meanwhile they’re doing a fine job in soapboxing him.

    What’s the weather tomorrow Nigel?

Oh wait BBC let you do that

  17. They do a very good job promoting him – does that count?

  18. I agree.

And I think its pertinent that Davey raises this because I swear I never see him get air time outside of his political ads

  19. Useless waste of space, what does he actually do ? oh, wait, during elections, he tells stories about his disabled child, uses them to get votes, and then, when his party have an opportunity to make a difference, they all abstain ,pointless clown

  20. They obviously learned their lesson from Jimmy Savile…NOT!
