A Calgary man is facing charges after police say he intentionally filmed women and girls without their knowledge at a mall in the city’s southeast.

On June 24 around 5:30 p.m., officers were called to Southcentre Mall at 100 Anderson Road SE for reports a man was seen using a cellphone to record young girls and women without their consent.

After speaking with a victim who saw the man filming her, and reviewing CCTV footage, investigators were able to identify the man, who they couldn’t immediately locate.

On Tuesday, July 1, police executed a search warrant on Marquis Lane SE where various electronics with child pornography material were seized.

The suspect was arrested without incident.

Fifty-one-year-old Jeffrey Robert Williamson has since been charged with one count of voyeurism, possession of child pornography, and accessing child pornography.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
