> In Trump’s recently passed tax bill, which also kicks millions off their healthcare and extends tax cuts for the wealthy, $267 million was stripped from national parks.
> But, to try and help the government make money, the president intends to increase the price of admission to the parks — specifically for people from a foreign country. The move is expected to bring $90 million to the Department of Interior’s budget.
Cutting $267 million in funding and then charging foreigners to make an *estimated* $90 million (assuming we haven’t scared all of them from visiting).
Republicans voted for this.
That’s not his “Inner Ron Swanson.” Offerman *is* most of what makes Swanson as a character but changed his politics. Woodworking, smoked meat, whiskey, etc… all these “manly” pursuits are 100% Nick.
IRL Ron Swanson would not like the amount of government overreach, overspending and mismanagement. At the end of the day he still hates the government in general and how it can affect the lives of people. It’s weird how people walked away from that show thinking ron would be a trump supporter
Slighty off topic but its funny how so many people see him as Ron and not as Randy from George Lopez. The first time I ever seen him was on George Lopez being a complete goofy man child that was into women 30 years older then him lmao.
I think they should try to get on rogans podcast and tell him what’s happening.
Whatever you think of the dude doesn’t really matter. The fact is that he cares about this stuff and has a huge audience.
The Parks are not property for one man to ruin. They belong to us all.
Also saw ‘Soveriegn’ recently and Nick Offerman is really good in it. A pretty good movie overall and an honest portrait of the ugly side of modern America.
This should not be a partisan issue. Everyone should be in favor of the preservation of American nature sanctuaries, it is one of our great points of pride. We have the hottest deserts, two enormous, yet opposite mountain ranges, endless plains and mesas, the most biodiverse ecosystem in the world. And these scum want to slowly eat away at that until it’s all rental properties. These people cannot be allowed to have power over us. These billionaires need to be dethroned and the monopolies deconstructed permanently. Things continue to change exponentially, we have to stay ahead of the curve because our greatest potential enemy is currently poised to overtake us on the global stage. Trump’s presidency needs to end one way or another if we have any chance of surviving as a nation in the coming age.
We are a backwater. Always have been, just on display now
