Newsweek reached out to the State Department and Russia’s Foreign Ministry for comment via email on Wednesday.

Since Russian President Vladimir Putin’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine, tensions between Russia and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) members have flared, with repeated threats of nuclear escalation. 2. Again? Well, it’s been about every two weeks for the past few years, so… expected.

    Pink lines.

  3. Message to the original poster of this. You should include in this headline that Russia is crying wolf again. And just like in that fable, the world is ignoring them.

  4. Raise your hand and slap yourself if you’re surprised by this.

  5. I guess Putin doesn’t care what Trump says or does..

  6. Wait till Trump gets mad than he will be threatening nukes on x

  7. Generally they bring the nuke warnings out every time they feel pressured.

If they feel things are going well for them they don’t bother with nuke warnings.

If they’re worried about how things will fare for them, they bring it back on the table.

So all they tell us is that they’re very worried about this weapons deal. Probably rightfully so

  8. Isn’t it time to deliver the old classic tweet about having a bigger button that actually works, mr. President?

  9. Putin’s nuke threats are almost as pathetic as Trump’s deadlines

  10. Yup, it’s Wednesday.

Medvedev gets his extra ration of vodka and 47 minutes later, he makes a nuclear threat.

Yeah, well I dare you to drop a nuclear warhead on me Dmitri!! My current location is the Texas governor’s mansion.

    Your move.

  11. 2 days after? Did they forget to threaten it right away?

  12. People think there is someway to retalliate against a nuclear strike, there is only compromise. Its not a weapon carries war, its a weapon that finishes war.

If Kiev gets blown up, thats it for the war. There won’t be any nuclear counterattack.

  13. … does this whole thing feel insanely choreographed to anyone else.

  14. If you want my address, you can hit my house first. Specifically the garage. I’m always out there drinking beer and smoking weed.
