(ABC 6 News) — The Center of the American Experiment is on its summer tour talking about Minnesota DOGE.

The group discussed what state government would look like if they applied for a Department of Government Efficiency over the Minnesota budget and find ways to cut costs or curb growth.

The goal would be to make these cuts without harming Minnesotans, make sure they were fair, and root out fraud and waste.

“The main take away from the presentation is if there is a will at the state legislature we’re showing you the way. The way to slow the growth in state government spending the way to get back to structural balance the way to head towards actually cutting taxes,” said Bill Walsh, the director of communications for Center of the American Experiment.

The group has done about 20 presentations in the suburbs, cities, and other areas of Minnesota. Their next stop is in Coon Rapids on Monday.
