The Ukrainian parliament has supported a proposal to allow the mobilization of volunteers over the age of 60.
On Wednesday, July 16, the Verkhovna Rada adopted bill No. 13229, which gives persons aged 60+ the right to voluntarily sign a contract for military service.
This was announced by the Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, People's Deputy Roman Kostenko.
“This is an opportunity for experienced specialists to help in non-combat and specialized positions. There is no coercion — only motivated, professional volunteers,” he emphasized.
