  1. The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, announced today that he will absolve a 25-year-old girl who is suspected of attempted murder, from further criminal prosecution, since in January, during a traffic blockade in New Belgrade, a car ran into a female student.

  2. He’s completely gone mad, sending his goons to attack or kill people and then offers them amnesty as a reward and a possible position in some EU fund related organization.

    The important thing is that 2 days ago some EU officials praised Vucic for his EU reforms. At this point the way the EU is cozying up to him is so disgusting that there’s gonna be less than 1% of people with positive view towards the EU.

  6. This should be understood for exactly what it is. A license to murder in the political interest of the government. The same is true of the outrageous pardoning of January 06 offenders in the USA.

  7. Do you people really expect anything better from this country? Yesterday there were people explaining me how NATO attacked them in 1991 until 1999 and how that is perfectly normal children literature.

  10. It is hillarious how much the protesters wanted to ‘make an example’ out of this woman and paint her as the new reincarnation of Hitler or something contrary to every single established fact. The ‘attempted murder’ charge was ridiculous from the start and would never fly in a serious court of law.

    The facts of the matter are perfectly clear. A group of protesters crowded the car of this woman, surrounding her and preventing her from moving her vehicle. At one point she drives her vehicle forward, injuring one of the blockadeers in the process.

    That’s why I hate these kinds of protests. Blocking streets always causes this type of an assymetrical conflict situation. The person in the car feels endangered because they are trapped and surrounded. The people outside feel endangered because of the damage a moving vehicle can cause.

And this right here has been a problem all throughout human history in the sense that we just end up allowing a few amount of people make decisions on behalf of a whole country and only when our lives are no longer worth living do we go berserk and throw ourselves in front of bullets in hopes of at least doing something before death. At least Serbian civilians have guns too, not that the police or the army would allow anything Pol Pot like.
