30. A decade too late, it was clear and obvious that he knew damn well what was going on and did everything he could to protect the abusers. Republican leadership looked at all that and thought “that’s exactly the kind of person we need in washington”

    And yes, mainly for his role in knowing about Strauss’s abuse and failing to act.

    Dr. Strauss sexually abused at least 177 male student athletes and independent investigations even revealed that OSU faculty were aware of what was going on as early as one year into Strauss’s two decade long career as the University’s physician.

    Jordan was the assistant wrestling coach, so it’s very likely that he had knowledge of the abuse. In the extremely unlikely event that Jordan was unaware of what was happening, I’d argue that his ignorance is damn near just as disgraceful.

    He also deserves to be questioned because it’s about time that he faces some accountability after leading bogus inquiries and weaponizing congressional hearings for years—most of which lacked any substance.

    Remember that he also refused to comply with a subpoena from the January 6th investigation even though he’s issued plenty of politically motivated subpoenas himself.

    So in a way, Jordan will get a taste of his own medicine. Except this time, the legal scrutiny he faces will actually be warranted.
