"Another war crime by the Russians… The fighters of the 🇺🇦65th OMB presented a video of a recorded 🇷🇺war crime in the Orikhiv sector of the Zaporizhzhia Front. A Russian soldier, exhausted by a hopeless assault, made the right decision and surrendered to the Ukrainians. They, having provided the prisoner with first aid and tied his hands, sent him to the rear accompanied by a drone. On the way, the poor fellow was ambushed by a Russian saboteur, who first shot him, and then, in an NKVD-style manner, viciously finished him off in the back of the head. The scoundrel, having committed the murder, gave away his location and was destroyed by UAV discharges.

Most Russian prisoners say that if the authorities understand their intentions, they try to eliminate them. Many are captured by their own wounded.

A Russian prisoner of war died a few steps away from rescue. With his death, he helped identify the saboteur and took revenge on the Ukrainian military. The Russian army has once again proven that service in it is a one-way street."

I remember at the start of this war there was a massive propaganda campaign in just about every social media comment section that I saw, decrying the notion that the Soviets/Russians used blocking units during WW2. It was always this smug “expert” trying to convince people that there was no use to executing their own men…. Yeah that really held up well, right. The shit thing is so many people lapped that crap up as well
