Well he is best known as a lawyer for the Scientologists, he said at the time that Scientologists are persecuted for their faith, and the FSB is trying to dictate to Russian society which religions are extremist. In my humble opinion this is exactly what the FSB should be doing. He was also married to an American woman who was expelled for espionage, after which he immediately divorced her.
But despite all these strange coincidences I think it is a step in the wrong direction, Lawyers should not be marked as Foreign Agents, it’s for political entities like NGO
