  1. Around 5 thousand migrats now moving toward Polish border. They accompanied by armed Beralus guards with dogs.

    Poland – we are ready.

Lithuania – sending whole forces to stop migrants after their will be pushed back by Poland and try to go from Lithuanian side.

This is not migrant crisis, this is war.

  2. I’m afaird this day will end with many fatal casualties, possibly on both sides.

    Hope I’m wrong…

  3. Morocco did the same to Spain and Turkey to Greece. This is hybrid warfare.

Europeans get bullied by less developed countries…

  4. Lukashenko is acting very brazenly, which means that the whole migration scenario was orchestrated by Putin. This is outrageous.

  5. So I guess now would be the critical time to end the naive and unsustainable paradigm shift (akhmm… Merkel) that every illegal migrant is not a criminal for violating sovereign borders, but instead a potential victim and refugee seeker and that enforcing borders is somehow contradicting human rights.

  6. Welcome to war in the 21st century. No war of soldiers, tanks, or aircraft. But countries weaponizing refugees onto each other.

  7. Y’all Europeans fucked up more than a year ago when you enacted weak ass sanctions and allowed Lukashenko to trade with you after what he did in August 2020. And your sanctions are still weak ass. Maybe now they won’t be.

Then again, that’s what Putin wants, probably. Welcoming sanctioned to shit starving Belarus into his bloody empire…

  8. That’s terrifying and Europe still want to tolerate that bullshit. I can’t explain why Belarus and Russia still feeling comfortable trading with EU countries.

  9. Hope these Borders stay shut.Immigration is one thing, simply using Migrants as a pressure mechanism is a whole different Ballgame.

In all likelihood some goody two shoes politicians will try and trot out their Compassion, Humanity, etc. to profile themselves. All the while ignoring that they play into the Hands of these puny dictators.

  10. Hey ignorant Brit here, anyone want to give me a run down about whats happening and who I should be angry with?

  11. It’s beyond pathetic that the EU hasn’t yet sanctioned Belarus and all airlines involved with this shit into bankruptcy.

  12. I don’t know how anyone expected anything different and why the EU was so slow to recognize this. Lukashenko said, and I quote, “we will flood Europe with drugs and migrants.” Why did anyone think he was joking? Lukashenko is no idiot – he has held onto power 20+ years. I think it’s only a matter of time until it’s discovered drugs are being smuggled through the border.

Here’s the deal: the EU needs to stand behind Poland and Lithuania, and not issue more than phony declarations (if they can even agree on those). Lukashenko is showing the EU is weak and he’s winning. He doesn’t care about sanctions or sealing borders, after all, it’s a win for him if his people aren’t allowed to leave. We need to see the armies of Europe standing side-by-side with the Poles.

And to those saying we should help these migrants: no, absolutely not. They are rich, the tickets to Minsk cost literal *thousands* and they are well aware the trip is actually to be smuggled into Europe. Are they victims of a game they didn’t expect to be played in? Perhaps, but they’re not innocent either. Everyone east of that border must be stopped.

  13. Europe needs a solid united front. It is unfair for border nations to take such a big responsibility.

  14. Poland needs three things from the EU: more sanctions on Belarus, diplomatic actions against companies and countries supporting Lukashenko in transporting migrants and financial support for building a proper fence.

What is EU good for if they can’t take measures against a country waging hybrid warfare against EU?

  15. If Macron wants to win easily next year in France, he would send the french military and help Poland at this crises.

  16. As a Belarusian, EU needs to step up with harsh sanctions to help Poland to deal with this shit. We have been saying this since day 1: introduce the harshest sanctions possible. Not the current “some individuals, some companies, some goods in some time with some loopholes left” approach, but sanction everything right now. Total trade and logistic blockade of Belarus, complete embargo, no business whatsoever in any industry and walks of life.

And it’s not just Belarus that needs to be sanctioned. No way this is happening without some approval and/or support from Russia — punish them too. Sanction all the countries, airports and airlines involved in this.

Yes, it will cost EU money, but it’s time to realize that safety and wellbeing are not free, not when you have neighbors like Luka and Russia. You are under attack, and defense does cost money. And the longer you tolerate this the more expensive it gets. Act now, help Poland.

For those worried about “sanctions only hurt Belarusian people, not the regime”, EU can make it easier for Belarusians by giving them more opportunities to escape the sanctioned totalitarian zone that is Belarus. And in the long-term, Belarusians will only benefit from destroying the regime.

Stop looking for excuses. Protect your borders, your safety, help your fellow EU members. This will not stop until you stop this.

  17. Knew this would happen 1st day Belarus started driving people to the border. Shit’s so obvious, especially when we knew how many refugees still were in Minsk. I hope some leaders are competent and saw this coming as well.

  18. speaking from experience, this does not end well. A similar situation has been pretty devastating for turkey. eu should probably start building a border wall there.

  19. Other EU countries need to support Poland, Lithuania and Latvia in this matter… send supporting troops to relieve pressure
