7. The worst part is, Scottish people and English people are from the same country, whilst simultaneously being from different countries. Try explaining that.

The island has been named as such before the United Kingdom, before the Scottish kingdom, before the English Kingdom, before Jesus was born, before Caesar’s holiday. It is of Ancient Greek origin, Prettanikē: Land of the Painted Ones.
