  1. Add “acceptable “ to that list.

So many lads talking casually, bordering on proudly, about their usage.

  2. So sentiment on Reddit is food and rent are unaffordable, but good news on the drugs front.

  3. MUP isnt helping. Some of the pro MUP groups and people will try to tell us people drink more when on cocaine and the surge in use isnt linked with MUP or the prices in pubs. A bit of a ” nothing to see here” attitude.

In the real world though as pint people and pubs goers we are noticing a serious drop off in youngsters and the like buying pints or drink when in pubs. This is backed up by barmen and owners. So what are they doing in pubs to replace that?

Now we will have people telling us the Alcohol is more harmful that charlie.

Lower the price of drink in regulated settings and see what happen. A proof of concept.

  4. Cocaine storm sounds like a bad B rate movie.

  5. It’s affordable because the government haven’t got their nanny state mitts on it lol. Add all the excise duty, VAT and a magical sprinkle of MUP, it wouldn’t be affordable for long.

  6. If we’re doing that much coke and it’s all imported does that tell us our port security is piss-poor?

Correct me if I’m wrong, genuinely curious.

  7. At 41, I’ve never used it. I’ve been curious based on the hyperbole, but I always turned it down.

Weed, on the other hand, I love …

My dream for Ireland is weed vapes sold in Centra ….

  8. Tell me where all this affordable cocaine is so I at least then I know where to avoid it.

  9. Omg thats horrible, please tell us where this can be found so we can report it immediately!

  10. it might be available but it’s definitely not the other two

  11. Genuinely shocked at how popular it became. What was once a huge taboo topic is now completely normalised. I never saw it at all in college, and never ran into people on it, though I heard some stories.

My first run in with the stuff was in Cavan of all places where I saw two lads doing it in a cubicle, who then threatened me when I saw them. I started hearing stories of fights, brawls, arrests, all coming from the same village. There are rumours that the stuff is very popular in the GAA Club and they’re buying it. Half my extended family are now dabbling in it too, myself and my family were mortified to hear that rumour. One of my closest friends took it once in college and said “Never again, that was awful, I found my limit.” Now he takes it on a regular basis in the pub.

It’s gotten to a point now where I can’t have a conversation with a stranger in a pub without being offered a bag. I used to think this shit only happened in Dublin or Limerick.

  12. Prohibition never works, not a drug for me but it’s obviously very popular and borderline socially acceptable these days.

  13. I remember had a mad work do years back. My son was a young baby was coming in the door in morning after a mad one and I thought-will I get another bag… a little voice popped into my head saying” this is how it starts”. Haven’t touched it since.

  14. Can’t get a home or a job or a relationship but sure I’ll just blast a load of affordable Coke. Savage country.

  15. It’s because Ireland loves wasting scarce resources sending the keystone kops chasing after cannabis possession

  16. Cocaine dealers control towns and villages with an iron fist in many parts of rural ireland – Co Limerick been a good example

  17. Mustn’t remember the absolute snow storm of the mid to late 2000

  18. Why does the stock photo look like it was taken in the early 90’s

  19. Available, affordable, and potent, eh?

    Well, that’s terrible news

  20. What did people think that home grown cartel were doing the whole time, Dublin is rampant with the white

  21. It’s wild how all the left-wing posturing that people do goes out the window when cocaine is involved. The supply chain is literally murderous. And yet a lot of people justify that with the “no ethical consumption under capitalism” bollocks. Just grow some motorway weed ffs

  22. Be careful. US based redditer here. I’ve seen alot of people in my high school overdose because it’s cheap, available, potent… But it ain’t coke. It’s Fentenyl mixed with hopefully not other shit like meth.

  23. So the Irish stuff isn’t cut to fuck like everywhere else in Europe 👍👍

  24. “We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.” Jim Rohn.

  25. Potent my hole. What eamon dunphy said a 20 years ago is still largely true. #washing powder

  26. Some may be able to afford it but the price others are paying is beyond cruel.

There is an increasing amount of people needing stoma, urostomy bags or other bladder/bowel operations due to their illicit drug abuse.

As well as children being born with disabilities, abused or murdered due to their parents drug abuse.

It’s a tragedy that our communities are being destroyed because of poverty and addiction. Impoverished children and other vulnerable people are being abused, groomed and exploited because of the illicit drugs trade. Anyone who uses illicit drugs is complicit in the violence we see on our communities.

  27. I guess there’s no cocaine crisis in Ireland then. The coke users are ok.

  28. The new Bord Failte Eireann slogan is really taking off.

  29. Is this an advertisement? Why is it phrased like an advertisement?
