Representatives of BKM Holding (formerly known as Belkommunmash) briefed officials of Mostransavto (the Moscow Region, Russia) on the specifics of the design and operation of their electric busses, sb.by reports citing BKM Holding’s Telegram channel

The company noted, “Representatives of the Mostransavto JSC held a visit to BKM Holding. The guests were introduced to the history of the development of the BKM model range, informed on operational nuances of the equipment and production technology. Following the tour of the workshops, the parties discussed a variety of topics related to the Belarusian-made electric buses.”

Mostransauto JSC is the largest passenger carrier in the Moscow Region with 12 intermunicipal motor transport enterprises, including production bases and sites across all the region. The company was established in 1926. Over 4,700 buses enter their routes daily, covering almost 1,400 urban, suburban and intercity regular routes and transporting more than 1.6m passengers. Mostransavto continues to renew its rolling stock: recently, the company has acquired large, medium and small buses.

Founded in 1973 as the Minsk Tram and Trolleybus Repair Plant, BKM Holding released its first Belarusian-made trolleybus in 1994 and the first tram in 1999. In 2009, the company finished developing its first low-platform tram; production of trolleybuses with increased drive range was launched in 2015. A year later, BKM Holding started making electric buses.
