Gym-done, cheeky Friday McDonald’s breakfast-done, moving all furniture from the bedroom to the spare room ready to paint this weekend…it will be done today!
By this time next week, the front room, hall, stairs, landing, bedroom and bathroom will all be finished redecorated and with swanky new carpets/flooring. Still another couple of weeks before the new couch arrives. Future me, in winter, will be so happy I’ve done all this. Happy Friday all. Onwards and up.
Don’t usually work on a Friday but I’m making an exception today. I’m working on something pretty intricate and if I wait until Monday to finish, some of the details won’t be fresh in my mind and I’ll waste time getting back up to speed.
Going into the office. There’s a rule we have to do a Monday or Friday so even though no one else is in I have to go in today as didn’t go Monday. I quite like being alone though tbh as can listen to music/podcasts all day.
I’m having my 7-year-old Grandson over to stay until Sunday. He’s going to tire me out, but we’re going to have all the fun around Brighton. It’s his Birthday week, too.
Just sat on the decking of our static caravan in French France supping a coffee, waiting for the family to awake. A day of swimming and over excited children awaits along with speaking louder and louder until the French understand English – of course.
I’m ok just seeing bats everywhere. Scared of bats.
I’m happy it’s Friday but also reeling from the news of the school bus accident that happened not far from where I live yesterday afternoon. I’m used to hearing sirens go up and down the main road, but not so many and continuously over a few hours.
Trail ran last night, first ‘mostly running’ event since ankle break 12 weeks ago and feeling pretty good about it. We’ve got some respite care for the lad overnight and we’re going for a night at a premier inn, we’ve got piss all money though so going to paddle board, picky bits on the beach. Really looking forward to a little break.
Got to drop the dog off at the vets later so he can have some teeth removed so going to be £700 poorer.Its going to be a weekend of spoiling him rotten. l ve had to explain to the receptionist that when I drop him off can you not take him from room 3 as he shakes and gets upset as he has had injections and anal gland checks .He’s fine with other rooms and I want him calm for his operation.
This menopause can jog on.
Someone needs to invent a way to store all the heat radiating off me so I can use it over winter
Could’ve easily had today off work. Boss wanted me too- got no work on. But I was stubborn and said no, now at 6.50 I’m wondering why I didn’t take it off
Hey OP. It’s looking good actually. My kids finish school today and there’s a tradition of an afternoon picnic in a local park for the parents and kids.
I’ll be going along from about 4 and I’ll be surrounded by vast herds of ***absolutely banging*** MILFs – my jiggly, gorgeous wife included – all getting a bit drunk in the sun. Absolute ***HEAVEN***
Last full Friday in the office for a while. Hoping for an easy one.
Friday is the only day I go in to the office, so it means an early rise (6am vs my usual 7am).
I have a nice routine though. Only takes me 20 minutes to get to work on the bus, grab a coffee on the way in, and all food at work is free so get breakfast and lunch from our staff canteen.
I wouldn’t mind it but this weather destroys me. I fucking hate Summer and hot weather.
Actually pretty decent. I’m off on holiday tomorrow so feeling good today
Sleeeeepy. WFH, I’m hoping the rain stops and the sun comes out so I can have lunch in the garden.
Tomorrow we are doing a Big Sort Out of the second bedroom. There’s plastic crates under the bed that have been through 2 house moves without being touched, so if we can get rid of some of it that would be great…
I was supposed to be up early to go to work and help with a really critical issue, but at about 8pm last night I got the shits and was up all night shitting hot not water and vomiting.
I can’t physically go to because it’s in a hospital setting, so if I have a bug I cannot spread it around.
Just such shitty (for want of a better word) timing, I feel like none of my team is going to believe me.
Its friday and its payday! Yay! Going into the office early so I can leave early. Nothing planned for the weekend. Just the way I like it!!
Hopefully I’ll be out of work by 12 today. I opened today started at 6 to get a rush job done after getting in at 11 last night. Realistically I should go straight home and get some washing on but I might pop into town and start getting some bits I need for Bloodstock.
I got next to no sleep last night and have a busy work day today. Darn it all to heck
We’re getting filthy burgers for lunch at work today. Three burgers in one, plus cheese, bacon, egg, and hashy-b. We’ve been talking about it for weeks and now the time has finally come.
Then this afternoon, pretty much comatose.
I’m getting married tomorrow and it’s forecast thunderstorms ALL DAY! so annoyed considering it was gorgeous last weekend
I’ve still got so many problems but at least the weather has been cooler this week so I haven’t worried about that so much.
Just got in from work and I’m knackered. Tea, shower and bed for me.
So far, the highlight of my morning has been a large bowl of chocolate Shreddies.
I’ve been volunteering at GuildCare for a few weeks now and really liking it.
Off out for a hike. Bad hangover.
The plumber is round to fit a new water pump so we can use the shower again. I’ve got the shits. I think he’s noticed that I’ve had to go to the loo 3 times in the last 20 minutes.
Just got to get through the day at work and then picking my friend up from the station! A weekend of good food, good wine, boardgames and films awaits!
At work, but neither of the managers are in and I get to leave early.
Payday too so I think I’ve earned a modelkit shaped treat.
It’s been a manic week because we’re in this crunch period so everyone in my team and across teams is feeling it so to speak. As a reminder to ourselves, we can only do our best.
I’m WFH today and prefer that on Fridays (unless I’m going out out). Plan to block out my calendar, just crack on with work and do what I can. I plan to finish at reasonable time.
This evening got some admin to sort out and will do that, I’m thinking of having a curry or a masala dosa. Then binge on YouTube for a bit, and get an early night.
