STARKE, Fla. (WCJB) – Plans for an immigration detention center at Camp Blanding near Starke may be on hold, but activists who oppose the project say they’ll hold a protest anyway.
Members of Jacksonville Immigrant Rights Alliance posted a video on Thursday of them making signs for their protest at Camp Blanding on Saturday.
Governor Ron DeSantis says he is waiting for Alligator Alcatraz in the Everglades to fill up before work moves forward on the Camp Blanding plans.
