  1. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be investigated, charged etc for this, but there is another person I would rather see investigated for PPE reasons

  2. Stealing PPE during a shortage, especially PPE intended for NHS staff, and then punting gloves and masks for £15-£20 a box is utterly disgraceful.

  3. All that for 8 grand, pure greed. May she never treat another patient.

  4. John Scullion KC is one of the best lawyers in Scotland.

A genuine once in a generation talent and something of a miracle worker.

This was a summary case so a KC would not be avaliable on legal aid. His private fees reflect his considerable talent.

I always worry when I see his name in the papers as while he is good for his clients, and excellent for the prevention of miscarriage justice, he is a nightmare for the prosecution and the wider societal interest in seeing crimes punished.

    >The maximum sentence that had been open to the sheriff was 12 months in jail.

    >This was reduced to 10 months because of the couple’s early plea.

Ahahahhahah. The reduction is mandated by law. The Sheriff ignored their lawyer and gave them the maximum anyway.

Hopefully Scullion rinsed them for a good 10-20k for a job which could have been done by a legal aid trainee.

  5. Even putting aside the obvious moral implications of a Dr stealing PPE during a pandemic, why is a Dr risking everything for £8k?

The risk vs reward doesn’t make even a little bit of sense.

  6. Meanwhile, those who stole £400m of public money for PPE get away scot free.
