Today’s Russian papers focusing again on economic problems:
To pay utility bills some Russians are falling into debt. Rise in bread prices outstripping inflation. Cement factories on the brink. Call to freeze basic food prices to battle inflation.

But I understood the internal newspapers are state controlled… How come this is published?
If you into Russian economics, there’s polish yt channel “Kremlinka show” they dissect it pretty thorough. Sitting here and listning to it, it makes me wonder how Russians going to live after this war.

Kind of strange that so much “fantastic” news got into newspapers …
Looks like wars are bad for the economy
It will never get bad and hard enough for these orcs 👹
So the price for grain dropped yet the price for bread rises….🤔

But…but…but I was told by my vatnik network that EU is about to crumble and states are already failing. Also EU crocks are so poor they need to eat hamsters ??! Dear leader please advise
I thought they had plenty of gas to go around now we’re not buying it anymore.
Nice to see it all going to plan
At least they are alive and have standing houses with utilities.
This is unlike many Ukrainians who no longer have a home on which to pay utilities.
The more Russians have to deal with the consequences of their murderous war ,the better chance they will want to push to end it .
Sadly that is quite a fanciful dream, so lap up their Karma.
The most amazing thing to me is that all of these war related economic issues are of their own making. There was no reason they had to invade Ukraine. This whole thing was so unnecessary.
How do they plan to rebuild anything if cement factories shut down?
I really do rate these updates from Steve Rosenberg, good quality journalism
Great – seeing an economy falling apart.
This is like Weimar in the 1920’s.
As long as things are better compared to soviet times nothing will happen
This is wonderful news! They still only go home feet first, but if their home is suffering…..

Despite all this, it does not mean that it will change much of Putin terrorizing Ukraine. Russians are used to have nothing and live in their own filth. As long as the rich guys in power tell them their suffering is to make Russia great again, they won’t stand up. It must be as bad as in the beginning of the 20th century for them to get moving. As long as they’re not starving, Putin can keep burning all he has left in Ukraine.
