Nets guard Cam Thomas dropped an F-bomb on both the Ringer’s Zach Lowe and the idea that he’s a ball hog.

“The consenus? F*** you and the consensus @ZachLowe_NBA,” Thomas posted on X on Friday. “This is most likely the same consensus teams who can’t guard me and send double teams from jump ball. Why are we double teaming a guy who’s “not that good” make it make sense please.”

The profane pushback came after NBA Retweet quoted Lowe speaking on his podcast, having said “The consensus on Cam Thomas — if there is one, and he’s got some fans, and he’s got some mega-detractors — but the consensus is kind of like Empty Calories Ball Hog.”

Thomas has always been one of the more divisive players in the NBA, with a legion of dedicated fans and some league personnel being less convinced of his ability to drive winning.

That divide often spills over into social media, and now Thomas has jumped into the middle of that feet-first.

Brooklyn’s leading scorer, Thomas has always been defensive about his defense, but particularly sensitive about his passing — or perceived lack thereof.

The 23-year-old shooting guard has made strides in that area, and actually handed out ten assists in his final game this past season before being shut down with a hamstring injury after just 25 appearances.

And Thomas cited the Nets’ play before he went down as proof of his positive contributions on the floor — and to take what could be perceived as a subtle dig at Brooklyn general manager Sean Marks.

“Last time speaking on some sh-t,” Thomas tweeted. “Empty Calories? First off we were the 5th or 6th team in the east before my injury and trades. Can’t control what the GM wanna do with the team … 2nd ball hog? I was 2nd on the team in assists, not counting the Pgs traded away and traded for…”

When Netswire’s Sharif Phillips-Keaton cited Lowe’s criticism and pointed out that Thomas was one of only a dozen guards that averaged 24 points and 3.8 assists while shooting at least 43.8 percent last season, the young Net reposted it it.

“Nobody sees this when it comes to me tho I’m dead,” Thomas wrote, adding several crying-laughing emoji.

At the moment, Thomas is a restricted free agent but has not yet re-signed with Brooklyn.

Marks extended him a qualifying offer ($5.99 million), but sources have told The Post that the sides are in no hurry to come to an agreement.

While a source familiar with Thomas’ thinking told the Post he could be looking for as much as $30 million annually, NetsDaily quoted another league source suggesting that Brooklyn would be unwise to pay him more than $10 million.
