Running through unproven ground after an IED strike is not wise and we were taught not to do it, but is difficult not to do it.
Man everytime I had to run into an ied blast area…I always thought I was gonna die to a secondary device. Eventually I was nominated for a bronze star, cus I was badly wounded by an ied and then I myself found multiple secondary devices…and accepted my fate. They never blew tho, thankfully.
Been there, Broski. Maiwand 2013.

Quite the contrast in seeing US troops run to help a potentially injured buddy versus Russian troops walking past fellow wounded soldiers and ignoring them.
Concussed to hell
Anyone know what kinda platform this video is from? It looks incredibly stable? Is it an observation post on a mountain or something?
anyone know what the lens/platform this is taken from is? the zoom is very good.
Pointman seems to calmly get up at intersection takes a knee in the shade and begins providing forward security. Well trained. I missed it on first watch and assumed guy closest to blast was point, he was not.
