This is me. I almost never throw something out unless it’s totalled. It’s a real buzz when you bring something back to life yourself, like a washing machine for example.
I’d try and repair anything that breaks before I’d throw it out, Usually if I’ve gone to the extent of bringing something to the recycling center, it’s well fubar’d, and only after I’ve attempted to repair it.
Guilty pleasure is watching The Repair Shop on BBC. Not afraid to admit it sometimes gets me in the feels and an involuntary tear is shed for some old dears teddy bear that’s worthless but priceless at the same time. I’d probably sit there all day just watching things be mended
I have a broken heart, can they fix that?

Anyone know do these repair cafes happen often? I have an old Gaggia Classic coffee machine that I need help with a repair but I couldnt get the part before Sunday
