Republicans “state run media is communism”
Also Republicans “take that guy off tv because he makes fun of us”
John Oliver might be next, but I don’t know if HBO will be as easy to pushover considering how beloved he is.
I gotta say, since November I’ve slowly stopped watching, Colbert, Stewart, Seth Meyers, MSNBC and other content because I’ve just got so sick of hearing about Trump all the time. I know it’s important to stay informed and know what’s going on, but over eight years of everything Trump with three more years to go is too much.
You guys, South Park already started this fight. The canary already died
Trump has beef with every late night comedian as all of them make fun of him.
CBS was the most vulnerable because of the merger they’re trying to do, so they’re capitulation at every turn to appease Trump. Since Comedy Central has the same owner, Stewart and the Daily Show may be shown the door as well.
But it’s not just CBS. ABC capitulated too by paying him off. Thus, Kimmel could be next.
Finally, Trump’s feed with Meyers goes back to 2011, and the White House Correspondents Dinner, where Meyers and Obama laid into Trump as he seethed and plotted his revenge to destroy the entire nation. So Meyers may find his show canceled as well.
Only when these greedy billionaire mother fuckers who own these companies understand that while capitulation to Trump may give the illusion of more cash in the short term, in the long term it will cost them far more. Grow a fucking spine!
Colbert was losing $40 million a year on a budget of $100 million. Colbert all by himself, received $15 million in salary per year – $280,000 per week. I can’t defend someone getting paid $15 million per year to lose $40 million per year. That’s not sustainable.
Why is he the canary in the coal mine, and not 60 minutes? If we keep moving on to the next step, we keep going somewhere.
The theories that convince me the most are that Paramount is killing the show to appease Donald Trump ahead of a multi-billion dollar merger between Paramount and Skydance Entertainment. Mergers of that scale require federal approval, and they don’t want Trump interfering because of bad blood between him and Colbert.
It seems like canceling the show for financial reasons isn’t justifiable according to [THIS](https://youtu.be/aK5k__dvZwQ?t=151)^^YouTube analysis by some guy on YouTube.
May just have to refrain from pm watching CBS & us our apps instead.💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙. #We Love Late Night with Stephen Colbert
I wonder if those miners are on epsteins island
It’s not even a year, man.
This guy and his cronies haven’t been in there a year and they’re doing this.
Start looking for wide and uninhabited stretches of land to hide when the crap hits the fan. It’s not gonna get better.
fuckin DARK!
I hate this analogy. We’re walking on the littered ground of canaries that have been dying since 2016…
I feel it’s part of the propaganda effort to make us think it’s “coming soon”, vs. the reality that it’s officially fucking here.
We’ve lost, the United States of America is now a fascist nation.
What we do now, will define us.
Colbert is really more like the sound of splitting support beams but ok
