  1. To be honest i wonder if we could compare Europe if Germany won and Europe today. I have a feeling we would be looking at a seriously advanced Europe.

  2. I’d like them to explain what they think those men were fighting against.

  3. People who fought the Nazis will most definitely not support the racist Reform party

  4. The laughter of those who gave everything – never forget

  5. The EU is the new Nazi party.

Look at all their biggest corporations, VW, Bayer who made Zyklon B. All collaborators and profiteers from the Nazi party.

Von der Leyon’s family made their money from the slave trade.

    Nice record.

  6. Vote reform UK if you think 200k migrant arrivals per year is perhaps a tad too much

  7. Vote reform if you blame brown people for your lack of education, drive and employability, think “they” are trying to ban you from saying merry Christmas and if you order ham, egg and chips in loud, slow English while in Spain.

  8. The amount of pro Russian bots/bad actors commenting on this sub promoting Reform just takes the piss. I’m out of here.

  9. Most of the world leaders had no problem with Hitler’s policies, including the concentration camps. What sent those men to war was Germany threatening our territory and profits.

Fascism only gets stopped when it conflicts with money, it thrives while profits keep going up.

  10. Reform are only a hop skip and a jump away from the guys they were fighting..

  11. Maybe they wouldn’t vote reform. But if you think most people from that generation and the ones before it would approve of the current state of this country then you never met or talked to any of them, if you’d of told anyone in this country 60-70 years ago of the current levels of immigration and the demographic changes occuring in the major cities of the UK firstly they wouldn’t have believed you due to how absurd it would have sounded. But if you were to convince them I’d dare say the near unanimous opinion would get them banned from Reddit.

  12. *definitely NOT a Reform voter*

but OP and maker of this meme believes that they are the voice of WWII veterans? In this picture alone, I’m sure there is a wide spectrum of political beliefs. Some may argue Reform are precursors of fascism, others may argue they are protectors of ‘empire’ and ‘Britishness’. Please don’t politicise our veterans.

  13. lefties cant seem to get their narrative straight on this sort of stuff, I thought the meme is normally that boomers all vote for reform because they are selfish and stupid or something

  14. Yeah… because old people so rarely have racist and anti-immigration views…

  15. Can we compare the BUF (British Union of Fascists) policies with the Reform policies

  16. With certain people burning poppys and spitting on elders they basically did. This isn’t what they fought for but it’s what we have become. Shocking.

  17. All war is a waste of time tho let’s be honest it pointlessly killing for profit or gain x

  18. Not true they fought for our land and freedom not invasion of our land

  19. Reform is a dam sight better than Labour and the tories

  20. Vote reform UK if you want to protect what these men gave us

  21. This is the image that comes to mind when people think about pensioners, but these brave selfless individuals who fought for freedom are mostly gone. The bigoted, entitled boomer pensioners deserve a lot less respect than we give them

  22. LMAO Britain controlled about 25% of the globe at the time, we were NOT fighting germany cos of “fascism”. Churchill got us involved in something we should have never been involved in and used millions of British lives to do so. Total waste.

  23. Probably horrifically sacrilege to the Great British mindset, but I hate that veterans are put on so much of a pedestal.

Need something to support your gross argument about immigrants? Stick a poppy on the meme and reference these old cunts, that’ll get everyone on your side!

Who fucking cares how or which way they might vote, or what they think of the country. They’re just men. Just human. They don’t have any greater enlightenment to the truth by virtue of being in a trench. Just soldiers, who happened to have been born at the right time for some jingoistic canonisation. They’re relics. Both World Wars happened a century ago. In the words of “brutally honest” muppets all over the land, *get over it*.

  24. I’ll explain as someone who enjoys ww2 history and has a reform voting relative:

    They were fighting Germans

    Germans are European

Therefore they were obviously fighting Europe.

The EU is now in Europe so Europe/EU (interchangeable) is now the fourth Reich and the enemy.

This is not **my** logic but I’ve had it yelled in my face so often I’m happy to answer any further questions in character.

  25. No party ever has done anything about immigration. So why is reform different? They aren’t. They don’t have any substance to their promises. They use veterans to convince people to vote and then all that will happen is Nigel Farage will pretend to be one of the lads having a pint and smoking a fag whilst doing what every primeminister has ever done… get fucking stinking rich off the British public and then fuck off!

  26. Well they certainly didn’t fight for what we have now…

  27. They fought for the preservation of Great Britain, just like anyone fighting for their country. Well by the words of the few remaining ww2 veterans that I have spoke to “Britain isn’t what it once was”

  28. Do you think the country they fought for exists today?

  29. Did any of you ever meet the older generation?

There’s absolutely no way they would be happy with the demographic changes right now.

They didn’t believe in violence against other races but good god the overwhelming majority of people I spoke to firmly believed they should be in their own countries.

  30. The whole reason they did was so we could choose to vote bad or good choices aside
