Princess Beatrice takes over key royal role in new announcement

Princess Beatrice received a key title that previously belonged to a prominent royal figure, amidst the increasing speculations about the future of the York family.

The Princess of York announced as a new patron of the Chartered College of Teaching, a role which was once performed by Prince Philip. 

The institute released a statement, sharing that they are “pleased” to announce Beatrice as their Patron.

As per GB, the message further reads, “HRH Princess Beatrice has shown her support for education and for young people through her work as Ambassador and Patron of many organisations, and particularly as Trustee and Founder of Big Change.”

“Our Royal Charter, granted in 1849, is a powerful symbol of the professionalism and dedication of teachers.”

The officials said that the late Duke of Edinburgh was their patron until his demise in 2021. He actively supported the Chartered College of Teaching and the teaching profession. 

While praising the work of royal figures, they added, “Royal patronage gives a clear indication of the fundamental role teachers play in society and for children and young people.”

“Together with HRH Princess Beatrice, we look forward to championing the teaching profession with renewed purpose and visibility,” the statement concluded.
