  1. Nothing new from an archaic and fundamentally broken political entity designed to legitimise despots and dictators alike.

    1) Kosovo corruption (one of many examples);

    2) The long, long, long history of sexual abuse , child abuse and human trafficking by Peacekeepers;

    3) systemic corruption

    The only reason why the UN still exists is because it has positioned itself as the de facto intermediary between the developed and developing world. It is a system designed to facilitate corruption and to give it a rubber stamp of legitimacy so no one questions it. The developed word continue to engage with the UN because it is an opportunity to make money and dictators love it because they get a seat at the table along with the rest of the world leaders.
