“Parkside residents ‘shocked and betrayed’ by extent of the plan”
These people need to get a fucking grip. They can feck off out of the city if they don’t like living in one.
Rental only?
How can they be shocked and betrayed? Belmayne / Park Side and basically all of Dublin 13 is new build central. The space is there, so more of these big unit schemes are needed.
Great news. Keep them coming.
Is this in addition to the 419 units approved earlier today?
Edit: Looks like it is. That’s over 1000 apartments approved today. Not bad.
> Local resident Robert Linnane said Parkside residents, **many of whom only purchased their homes in the past 18 months**, “feel a serious sense of shock and betrayal at this proposal which will be seriously injurious to their residential amenities and to the visual amenity **of this new residential area**”.
Ah, would you fuck off with your “fuck you, got mine!” NIMBY bullshit. It’s literally an extension of your own goddamn estate, for god’s sake!
> It is the fifth phase of the Parkside development.
The neck of these arseholes…
“I have my house so that’s now exactly enough houses, any more is unnecessary, can’t they just live down the country?!”
Outrageous bullshit to be talking about betrayal when they bought 18 months ago and it’s basically an extension of the estate.
Most NIMBY objection yet ?
Great to see all these apartments getting the go ahead. Apartments are needed badly and I seen someone say how will 1 beds help the housing crisis, they will help singles and couples for sure.
This is great. Any idea if they are build to sell or build to rent? It didn’t seem to mention it in the article
Oh no a city is expanding!? How can anyone have seen this coming
Not being funny but that Parkside estate is a disaster. Narrow tiny roads, cars can barely pass each other, no parking, concrete jungle with houses packed in on top of each other.
Building up with supporting green space will improve that development.
Never mind its beside Darndale.
Here’s an idea, to make a complaint like this you should be required to leave a deposit. If your complaint is upheld it’s returned, but if the complaint is refused the deposit is then forfeit. Might cut down on the temptation to pull the socio economic ladder up when you’ve gotten up a rung.
