I have worked for this kind of boss and it was horrific. I have defended Charles on some aspects as a monarch (and I do think anyone has good and bad sides), but this is in my opinion inexcusable. I doubt someone of his age will change, especially on a project that he is spiritually passionate about, but he absolutely should.
This is shocking. I also don’t understand why this is the first we have heard of this.
This is not that shocking. It’s known that the royal family doesn’t pay their workers much. A lot of people do the job for the status and it looks good on a resume.
The only surprising thing about this is that it’s being reported on. Where’s the invisible contract?
Let’s wait for the 4000 breathless articles about how a Charles is a bully.
Tell me without telling me your a rich 1 percenter living in a bubble:
> He was sufficiently aware of staff problems that, after the invasion of Ukraine, he dashed off a note proposing that war refugees could be recruited to help out.
