These are the choices in every deep red and deep blue state, the voters know their party is screwing them over but they vote for them anyway because the party is more important to them than their state or country.
I’m in Massachusetts where Democrats run our state government like a criminal enterprise, been that way for generations. But we’re never going to vote for Republicans, no way.

I don’t think he’s gonna survive long enough for them to get a chance to illegally vote for him for a third term.

This is the thing that people aren’t getting-Republican voters aren’t going to start voting Democrat because of any of this. They’re already convinced that Democrats are *evil*, the only thing that’s going to change is that they’re going to feel a little guilty about voting for whichever Republican is running.
They’re going to go from, “Democrats are baby murdering, socialist pedophiles” to, “They’re *all* in on it, but I can’t let the Democrats win because of woke cancel culture and socialism!”

Shortly after Trump’s second inauguration, when it became clear that he was going to do fuck all about inflation, I noticed that Trump paraphernalia in the yards of my neighbors had completely disappeared. Curious.
More recently, it has come back in a couple of neighbors’ yards. I guess they’re growing more comfortable admitting that they support fascism and a fascist president.
