Ukrainian soldiers look completely different after returning from russian captivity. Often, their families can barely recognize them.

  1. Weight loss, exhaustion, signs of torture, and other inhumane methods of treatment by russia.

But despite all the horrors of captivity, they endured and made it back to native land.

We keep waiting for the day when all Ukrainians will be home.

  2. 2,150 days in captivity is insane. Nearly six years. Jesus.

  3. shame……..SHAME……….russian shame. End the Senseless War

  4. Don’t even want to imagine what those orcs would do to a female soldier in captivity.

  5. I’m surprised anyone is making it back from Russian captivity. How did they get free?

  6. The pictures are reversed when Russian soldiers are captured by Ukraine.

  7. Just waiting for the War Crimes Commission to so its part now – won’t hold my breath though

  8. Wouldn’t it make more sense to treat captives in a decent manner so others are more likely to surrender if in a hopeless situation?

  9. The shorter captivity ones are more shocking than the longer. These images prove that POVs are mistreated and starved. You don’t get to that level of starvation in under 6 months without a consistent below 1000kcal a day diet.

  10. Genuine question: Isn’t that a Nazi symbol on the last soldier’s left arm?

  11. They look like the average Russian soldier on the frontline when they come back.

  12. In the before pictures they just look like normal people. I hope they can get back to that.

  13. The difference is:

Russians are held in camps for prisoners of war and are treated with some respect.

Ukrainian men are held in concentration camps.

  14. Why does the world ignore this? Our grandparents had the courage to invade the country that had done this to humans.

  15. A couple were skin and bones in only 120+ days. Wtf?! I can’t imagine what these people went through for any period of time. Civilized nations don’t do this crap

  16. There won’t be any normal relations with Russia after this war possible for generation.

  17. He must have been put on the same diet as the Officers of the Russian Army. They don’t get fed much either. Good to have you back Ivan. Boo YAGA DA.

  18. I don’t know why but I’d like Ukraine to feed their prisoners McDonalds exclusively and return them to Russia completely overweight with diabetes, heart, liver and kidney problems. Just out of spite, I guess.

  19. If I had to spend time in Russia, I bet I’d look like that as well.

  20. Reminds one of concentration camp victims. Russians should be ashamed of their government and themselves. Disgusting inhumane behavior, not to mention their stupid war in general. Awful.

  21. You’re saying war prisoners don’t get 200g protein a day and 24/7 gym access? Shocking.

  22. Jesus, if these pictures were in black and white, u can say there from liberated nazi deat camps. That’s how disgusting the Russians are. Then again, they do it to there own.

  23. It’s a little terrifying knowing they were okay with these soldiers being released back into the public eye. What do the others look like?

  24. I hope their lives are all full of people who can’t wait to feed them back up.

  25. Nazi concentration camps, we are reliving the Nazi era, pootin will pay the price at a crime court, one day
