Another summer signing for Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, with Yiftach Ziv inking a three-year contract to join the team guided by Dimitris Itoudis.
“I am happy and excited to join Hapoel Tel Aviv, especially in such a historic and significant season,” the newcomer referred to the club’s first journey in the EuroLeague, “This is a great privilege for me, and I thank the club for the trust. I come with hunger, energy, and a lot of motivation to contribute, develop, and help the team meet all the goals set.”
Returning to Europe’s premier club continental competition after 32 appearances with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv between the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, Ziv followed Elijah Bryant, Tyler Ennis, Chris Jones, Collin Malcolm, Vasilije Micic, Tai Odiase, Dan Oturu, and Itay Segev in a long list of completed offseason transfers for the Israeli club.
“I am very happy to welcome Yiftach,” said Itoudis, “Yiftach is an Israeli point guard with physicality, athleticism and significant experience. He also comes with high goals and ambitions, and he understands his role in the team very well.”
Besides the fellow Tel Aviv outfit, the youth product of Maccabi Haifa also played for Ironi Kiryat Ata, Bnei Herzliya, Maccabi Kaplan Ashdod, Ironi Nahariya, and Hapoel Gilboa Galil in his home country. Returning after splitting the 2023-24 campaign between Spain with Corivan Granada and France with Saint-Quentin, he suited up for Hapoel Netanel Holon in the 2024-25 installments of the Basketball Champions League and domestic competitions.
