Send everyone across fields of mines, then when shit goes south bail to the UK and write bullshit articles like this
I fully agree. The cheap FPV drones own the war near the lines and to a depth of 10 km. A smaller number of still cheap drones with extended range are hitting 10 to 30 km, and then there are much more expensive drones taking it from 30 out to 50+. The reach will continue to increase, and the cost will be down, and numbers way up.
This will lead to static lines where it is impossible to gain land without taking enormous casualties.
But it is the attacks on deeper infrastructure that will really change things, and it will be able to shut down entire economies for very little money (relatively).
This inevitable reality will provide a deterrant for war that is similar to the mutually assured destruction doctrine. My fear is terrorists getting their hands on the technology.
