‘Appalling’ waits for ambulances in England leaving lives at risk

  1. This has been an enormous problem for a very long time and is a direct result of chronic underfunding of vital public services.

  2. I was listening to Radio 4 yesterday and there was a woman saying that her mum was rushed to A&E but because the hospital had no beds available, she was kept in the ambulance for 15hrs.

One ambulance and it’s crew out of action for over half a day because the hospital is running at full capacity. And apparently there were several others just sat there doing the same thing.

So, yeah, it’s no wonder there are none around when we need one.
