  1. I’d let the air out of those tires for being such a tool

  2. It’s unfortunate really how badly the side of my child’s buggy scrapes cars parked like this as a squeeze through whatever size gap they have left.

  3. We really need a traffic warden app where you can report these type of things via your own phone and get a portion of the fine from these people.

I’m certain I could make a living from this even if I got 50c per report.

  4. I used to work in a cafe near the courts. One day I was serving a guy who was absolutely fuming that he had just gotten a parking fine. He had parked illegally while in court for unpaid parking fines. Never ceases to amaze me just how far up themselves people can get. Like buddy, clearly you’re the problem.

  5. In my experience, almost all Land cruiser drivers are just that.

  6. Zip-zag lines present. 15m before pedestrian crossing. Parked on the footpath.

This person is clearly operating on a level I am not familiar with. Should’ve walked and climbed right over the car just for the laugh.

  7. Don’t be so quick to judge guys. Maybe the driver is going to a GAA game

  8. This was all of Drumcondra yesterday for the Hurling finals. Guards everywhere but not a single clamp or fine to be seen.

  9. This is illegal and you’re right to be mad about it. If you want the driver to get a ticket, all you have to do is submit to Traffic Watch online portal. It’s as easy as posting here! https://www.garda.ie/en/trafficwatchreport/

Note that since everyone has a right to a good name you might be asked to make formal statement as well as provide the digital evidence of the offense or even attend court. Gardaí won’t proceed unless you agree to make yourself available for that.

That said, I think most drivers just take the fine/points without contesting at court since the fines points are way higher at court. (Recent media report said the opposite, but let’s keep reporting)

People need to learn that just because “I’m under pressure” it’s not OK to create danger for walkers and wheelers.

Unfortunately they’ve chosen to ignore the law about footpath parking and will likely only respond to a fixed charge penalty notice and ONLY you can kick that off.

These reports go to a dedicated Garda team (not your local station) and it may be a few weeks til Garda contacts you asking for photos so save them in an album on your phone and maybe even a spreadsheet with fields like:

Offense Address Date Time TW number Reg Garda Outcome

Let’s take these entitled people down a peg or two

  10. Where I live, people who park like this end up with snapped wipers.

  11. I’ve heard of folks in wheelchairs having to squeeze past the vehicles of people like this and it is so tight that the vehicle gets scratched all along the side, and sometimes even the tire valve caps fall off too.

  12. In Roscommon town when you drive past the hospital going into the town theirs a cemetery next to it then going past a GAA place.

Their are “ALLWAYS” cars parked on the damn pavement next to the cemetery.
Imagine being in the hospital and need crutches or in a wheelchair and you want to get into town, less likely in crutches to make it.
You are forced out onto the road, it pisses me the feck off everytime i drive past and theirs 1 or god forbid more then 1 car hogging that pavement.

  13. It’s Ireland. He’s not an asshole. He’s an arsehole.

  14. Why do drivers think that blocking a cycle lane or a footpath is more acceptable than blocking a road?

  15. Would a chain from the bull bars to light pole warrent a few euro of an investment?

  16. People need to start walking over cars in these obnoxious positions to send a message. A dented in roof might wake them up.

  17. The amount of old land cruisers I see doing stupid stuff like that is shocking. They do seem to attract a certain type of person for some reason.
