The popular response from many Canadians to this news seems to be “Good.” Or “war criminals should be afraid.”
>The RCMP issued its sole statement on the matter on June 4, saying that it is conducting a “structural investigation” — an intelligence-gathering effort linked to Canada’s Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act.
>The agency said the probe began in early 2024 and is not a criminal investigation. As of the publication of the statement, no charges had been filed. The force added that the investigation is “solely focused on collecting relevant information and does not target any community or group.”
>But the statement said the force had a “mandate under Canadian law, to assess credible allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity” — and did not rule out future prosecution.
>“Should a perpetrator of core international crimes — such as genocide, war crimes, or crimes against humanity — with the appropriate nexus to Canada be identified,” the statement read, “the RCMP will initiate a separate criminal investigation.”
Accountability is the way to stop this. I am not sure that the RCMP investigation is anything more than perfunctory, but if it its mere existance is having the effect of those serving in the IDF in Gaza to think twice, then it is useful in that regards.
People who go to Israel to join the IOF should be viewed the same way as people who went to Syria and Iraq to join ISIS, they are literally travelling across the world to take part in a genocide.
Good!! They should be prosecuted they same way as the Nazis! Child murderers should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The Karma for the zionists is cooking in the oven.
Why don’t they want to stay in the promised land of Tel Aviv? I thought there was no safer place than Israel. Isn’t this what he left his home for to go and participate in a genocide?
>“I was supposed to go to Canada last week,” N. told The Times of Israel in July. “But after the investigation was announced, I felt afraid to go home.”
So he’s terrified of an investigation into suspected war crimes that doesn’t even single out a specific party. Just a general inquiry. Why is he so afraid? Isn’t he part of the “most moral army in the world”? Surely he and his fellow IDF soldiers didn’t commit any war crimes?
There is only one reason him and the others are so afraid, and it’s because they know damn well what they did.
this guys are so evil that they left their life in Canada to go kill Palestinian children in Gaza
and now after commiting a genocide they want to come back to Canada
why can’t they live on God’s Promised Land for the Chosen People
only an israeli news site would make pity articles centered around war criminals lmfao. so sad. if that’s not indicative of a toxic society idk what more i could tell you

Good. They *should* be scared after traveling to a foreign nation to fight, especially on behalf of Israel who’s well known to have questionable ethics and boundaries.
Don’t worry. You don’t need to come home. Hide like a true war criminal.
One day, maybe in 10, 20, 30 years we will find you just like we found those old nazis and bring you to justice.
Good, don’t come home. You’re not welcome. Sniping babies and blowing up schools should make you persona non grata globally, regardless of which army you serve.
