The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland (GOLI) has criticised a number of media organisations in Northern Ireland over what it said was "inaccurate, sensationalist and divisive commentary".
In a statement, external, the GOLI said the BBC continued to "marginalise Orangeism", criticising its coverage of the Twelfth celebrations.
A spokesperson for the BBC said its coverage reflected "their scale and significance for those taking part".
"We provided extensive, cross-platform coverage of the Orange Order's 12 July events," they added.
"Our multiple news reports were informative and impartial.
"And they were complemented by The Twelfth programme on BBCNI television and BBC iPlayer."
The GOLI also said the BBC's recent coverage about a cross-community sports camp in County Down which was cancelled as residents and an Orange Lodge raised concerns over the "perceived move of the GAA into the local community" , was relentless and unbalanced.
Alongside the BBC, the GOLI criticised the Belfast Telegraph, The Sunday Life and Irish News.
It called the Sunday Life's story about the Goldsprings LOL worshipful master "victimisation".
"Will the Belfast Telegraph door step the organisers of the Joe Cahill children's GAA Gaelic competition to be held as part of Féile an Phobail?"
The GOLI said it had become accustomed to "commentators who are paid to produce content for the Irish News amongst others, spewing bile and intolerance towards anything associated with our culture, our community, and our traditions".
The Belfast Telegraph and Irish News have been approached for comment.

“Stop telling the truth about us!” – old bigots yell at media.
“Well he would [say that], wouldn’t he?”
trying to figure out how “we dont want those taig kids in our area” is sensationalist reporting
its literally what they did
Will no one rid me of this turbulent Orange Order?

Yet their members/followers constantly throw out inaccurate information about other people and minority groups.
Now they’re being called out on it, suddenly they are able to recognise inaccurate information.
What they’re experiencing is a “culture” founded on self-awarded supremacy having to deal with virtually nobody believing them anymore.
Literally going to have to find a different drum to beat.

Don’t be racist and exclusionary. Don’t burn asbestos. These should be basics of human decency, but they’re hateful bigots.
This is the same crowd that spends weeks building bonfires out of stolen pallets, sticking politicians’ faces and national flags on them, and cancelling cross-community events because the GAA dared to exist within a 5-mile radius.
Lads, maybe the problem isn’t the BBC, maybe it’s the fact your brand of culture makes Nigel Farage look inclusive.
Anything that could be perceived as unionist comes with a health warning, marked as contentious…
Just look at how Portrush was reported vs the current festival in Warrenpoint, both should’ve been promoted to the world, however one was marked as ‘contentious’ and ‘controversial’.

Oh shit, they’re learning how to read
Of course…it’s all themuns fault.
At the most basic level, there’s a refusal within local commentary to acknowledge the simple reality that many support or won’t condemn the PIRA. Rather the demonisation of three decades ago continues untroubled, despite the fact they’re the only major group to genuinely decommission.
Republicans and their culture aren’t going to be erased despite this constant drumbeat. And the more that they squeeze it, the stupider they look to people outside these six counties for the constant purity tests.
Plus it’s undeniable that Goldsprings lodge were either the originators or messengers for keeping GAA-playing kids out of their town, by their own bloody press release.
An organisation founded on supremacy and anti catholic/ female prejudice is crying foul. The neck on these boys utterly beggars belief.
Unionist culture is horrified by its reflection.
Christ, they complain when their little march isn’t on the TV, then they complain when it is.
Can’t please them.
Divisive comments…about a divisive group of bigots
In this weeks exciting episode of “Who hates loyalism” it’s the media.
Losing track here, these guys need an enemy to exist it seems. Immigrants, SF, any other political party, children, the GAA, GAA children, sea border, themselves..
Maybe it’s because no one actually gives a fuck about them anymore, except them?
It’s a genuinely bizarre statement to read in full.
It’s called having functional eyeballs. The news and normal people will simply report the sectarian bigotry, terrorism, drug dealing, environmental damage and all other vile crap we see.
We’ll also report everyone leaving during July to escape the insanity and the closing shops, constantly reducing march numbers and ghost towns.
Also, bile and intolerance? Those are primary features of the 12th.
‘All we want to do is burn effigies of refugees and pollute the atmosphere, and these bastards want to photograph it!’
They’re angry that newspaper reporters showed up at the bigot’s door.
>Given their ‘all island’ broadcasting fascination, BBC NI have become nothing more than a media version of Ireland’s Future
LOL, get used to it. It’s only going to increase.
>Will the Belfast Telegraph door step the organisers of the Joe Cahill children’s GAA Gaelic competition …… We suspect the Dublin owned publication will not – because they would argue that it was inappropriate to do so.
LOL, the cheek of capitalists from across the border to invest in a failing Belfast newspaper and make it viable.
These backward yokels are railing against a future they can do nothing to halt.
Maybe somebody will bring back the shipyards and all will be well, LMAO.
Been loving the “BelTel are nationalists” commentary over the past few days.
I hope Orangeism gets marginalised more and more until eventually it is beyond the pale
Of course they brought up a football tournament in Féile. It is all orchestrated.
If the Orange Order really wanted to make sure no one associated them with horrible bigotry then, if they wanted to, they (or each individual lodge) could put out a statement in early July telling everyone that if there is any violence, sectarian hatred, or racist effigies on bonfire night, then they’ll cancel the parades, or even just individual lodges saying they’ll pull out of the parade. If they TRULY want to not be associated with this sort of thing, then they can put effort into enforcing good behavior and banning bad behavior, instead of just deflecting blame and whinging to the press.
Sigh… If you don’t want your organization to be about division and racism when you see it coming out you need to stamp it out, instead you back them up and celebrate them. This shows that’s the entire point of your organization not a radical corner of it.
You don’t like the GAA, that’s fine don’t play. Don’t ruin sports for everyone else. I don’t like basketball but it doesn’t bother me if others are playing it
