The European Nuclear Energy Forum (ENEF) offers a unique platform for in-depth dialogue on the opportunities and challenges of nuclear energy. Traditionally organised by the European Commission in collaboration with the host country, this year’s edition will be held in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.
ENEF brings together a wide range of key stakeholders in the energy and nuclear sector, including political representatives from EU member states, representatives from European institutions, as well as from nuclear industry, nuclear safety regulators, academia, research organisations, trade associations, energy consumers, and civil society.
The 2025 conference marks the 18th edition of ENEF. The Forum will begin with a high-level dinner, followed by main conference programme on 7 October 2025.
ENEF 2025 will once again serve as a forum for open and transparent discussions on nuclear energy’s role in Europe’s future. Following the recent publication of the Nuclear Illustrative Programme (PINC), this year’s ENEF will focus on discussing strategies to address current challenges in nuclear investments while enhancing the EU supply chain capabilities, advancing solutions for the back-end of nuclear fuel cycle, and exploring nuclear perspectives in non-power and digital sectors. This high-level event will provide a platform for exchanging views on ensuring safe, reliable, and predictable long-term operation of the existing nuclear fleet. For the first time, ENEF 2025 aims to foster an open and inclusive intergenerational dialogue between younger generation and senior professionals, focusing on challenges and opportunities of the nuclear ecosystem.
Further information – including the draft programme, registration details, and logistical arrangements – will be shared in due course on this page.
