Western countries should take in all the Gazans who wish to leave. PCPSR (a polling firm run by a Brandeis University professor) found that about 44% of Gazans want to leave Gaza (about 1 million people). They are giving up and are ready to accept their ethnic cleansing by Israel, they are tired of being tortured and murdered by the psychotic Israeli nation.

The West has shown ZERO moral backbone and NO willingness to attack or punish Israel, which would be necessary to end the suffering otherwise.
So it’s time. The West has a moral obligation to take in the 1 million+ people who wish to escape this nightmare scenario that the West itself created over the past 75 years. We as Western citizens are, by far, the most complicit in this situation due to our support of the Israelis, and have the wealth and ability to take in these people.
End the war. Give the psychotic Israelis what they want. I see no other way.

Israel’s creation in 1948 was immoral, and US support for it has been immoral since 1948 too. Since 1967, the [US has helped the Israelis invade Palestinian territory](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_Israeli_settlements) with over 750,000 people in violation of international law. My fellow Americans have helped the Israelis kill 150,000 Arabs over this time and this has been evil on our part. The entire conflict’s root cause has been deliberately misrepresented to the US public for more than 75 years.
US policy regarding Israel [led to the 9/11 attacks](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motives_for_the_September_11_attacks), the $ [8 trillion war on terror](https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/figures/2021/BudgetaryCosts) (the wealth equivalent of 20 million homes), and the [Iraq and Afghanistan wars.](https://www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v28/n06/john-mearsheimer/the-israel-lobby)

>The U.N. humanitarian coordinator says 87.8% of Gaza is now under evacuation orders or inside Israeli military zones, “leaving 2.1 million civilians squeezed into a fragmented 12 per cent of the Strip, where essential services have collapsed.”
Does Israel think commiting genocide or being complicit in genocide sends the right message to Hamas? And despite the below, I thought I remember Israel also rejecting various hostage or ceasefire proposals and them having high-ranking government officials recently and previously threatening to collapse the government if a ceasefire is approved.
>Israel rejected the statement, with the Foreign Ministry writing in a statement that it “is disconnected from reality and sends the wrong message to Hamas.” It also asserted that “all statements and all claims should be directed at the only party responsible for the lack of a deal for the release of hostages and a ceasefire: Hamas, which started this war and is prolonging it.”
Enough statements! DO SOMETHING. SANCTIONS! Cut off military aid! Stop weapons shipments! You know what Israel thinks of these statements? Not much, because they’re never followed through on. They’re empty words meant to placate the masses. Get mad! Call every representative you can! Protest! March! Be loud!
Why not go for a more honest headline?
25 Western nations say Gaza war ‘must end now,’ as they continue selling weapons to Israel to keep the genocide rolling.
Gaza War must end.
Who should end it? Hamas who started the war in continuation of their goals to destroy Israel and kill Jews, or Israel who seeks to destroy Hamas and return their hostages? Obviously, it should be Hamas who surrenders. Israel ceasing military operations and leaving Gaza Strip, surrendering the war and forgoing the fate of their hostages… That would be nonsense.
Alternatively, a ceasefire does not end the war, it merely prolongs the war and prolongs the Israeli military’s occupation of all of Gaza’s borders which began soon after October 7th. If you are trying to distribute aid in the Gaza Strip and Hamas diverts aid, that is a ceasefire violation. So no ceasefire is possible for longer than it takes a Palestinian to be hungry again.
So this statement by the West is just unproductive. It is political grandstanding, nothing more.
Also, who gains by sabotaging aid to Palestinians? Hamas or Israel? Obviously, Hamas is the only beneficiary for stealing aid and causing more Palestinian suffering for use as propaganda. Journalists and observers been saying Palestinians have been starving within the first month after October 7th, and yet we are supposed to believe famine is now just around the corner at long last nearly 2 years later.
